St. John's Cathedral is pleased to introduce Chef Cheryl Clark! She puts the "wonderful" in Wonderful Wednesday dinners, and in everything she lovingly creates in the kitchen. Cheryl comes to us by way of a very special partnership between St. John's Cathedral and City Rescue Mission. The City Rescue and Charis Chocolates recently unveiled a new social enterprise, Charis Catering. And, leading that new venture is Chef Cheryl. As the head chef of CRM's Charis Catering, Chef Cheryl will be catering our Wonderful Wednesday dinners and more!
A graduate of New York's Culinary Institute of America, Chef Cheryl has been sharing her love of food with Jacksonville residents for the past 15 years as a successful restaurant owner, instructor and personal chef. After graduating from the Culinary Institute, Chef Cheryl honed her craft in Dallas, Texas at the five star, highly acclaimed resort The Mansion on Turtle Creek. She was then recruited by a highly successful restaurant group in the Far East, and moved to Hong Kong where she worked for three years and spiced up her repertoire with eclectic Asian inspired specialties.
Upon returning to the United States, she landed at Orlando's HUE restaurant in Thornton Park and created an award winning menu. In 2003, her dream to open her own restaurant came to life and she opened Heirlooms Cafe & Catering in Jacksonville. In 2012, she began Everyday with Chef Cheryl and continued her business as a boutique caterer, instructor and personal chef so she could have more time to raise her two daughters.
Chef Cheryl has a love and passion for sharing her knowledge of cooking and nutrition to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and is excited to share that with you! Have an event that you'd like catered? Let the City Rescue Mission come to your rescue. Contact: Chef Cheryl!
